We performed a deep-dive forensic cleanup for a multi-jurisdictional law firm struggling with significant IOLTA discrepancies, disorganized financial records, and inconsistent trust account reporting. After conducting a comprehensive review of their existing bookkeeping infrastructure, we restructured their chart of accounts to accurately reflect their real revenue streams including flat fees, retainers, reimbursable expenses, and client trust transactions. We also implemented a cleaner reconciliation workflow, improved financial categorization, and established a more reliable reporting structure. As a result, the firm regained complete financial visibility, reduced compliance risks, and achieved a fully organized, audit-ready trust accounting system built for long-term operational stability.
